[Overview]

TUW-7200 Fluorinated Fluid is an HFE-based electronic fluid with a 76 °C boiling point — 15 °C higher than the 7100 grade, which means a hotter vapour zone and longer dwell time for removing high-melting-point flux, heavy oils and fixture build-up. Its −138 °C pour point keeps viscosity stable on the cold side.
Positioned as a replacement for 3M Novec 7200, TUW-7200 Fluorinated Fluid matches the original on density, dielectric constant and surface tension, and holds its composition through repeated distillation. For lines that clean and cool in the same loop, one fluid covers both duties and cuts the number of SKUs kept on site.

[Typical Applications]

1. Medium-temperature precision cleaning — Heavy flux, thermal grease, polishing compounds and drawing oils on optics, medical device parts and machined assemblies.
2. Vapour degreasing and rinsing — Main sump fluid or rinse duty with ultrasonic and spray assist, reaching blind holes and stacked geometries.
3. Electronics and power cooling — Direct-contact cooling of servers, power modules, lasers and RF amplifiers across −138 to 76 °C.
4. Leak testing and thermal bath duty — Leak-detection liquid, constant-temperature bath medium and thermal-shock transfer fluid.

[Handling & Compatibility]

TUW-7200 Fluorinated Fluid is inert toward metals, glass, ceramics and most plastics, and is gentler on elastomers than ketone or ester solvents. For first-time conversion, soak NBR, FKM and silicone seals separately, then re-check adhesion of dispensing adhesives and screen-print inks.
The fluid has no flash point and is not classified as dangerous goods, but its vapour is heavier than air and can accumulate in pits. Provide mechanical ventilation and keep ignition sources and hot surfaces away. Distil under vacuum to recover the fluid and consolidate still bottoms for disposal.
Moisture control decides service life as much as the fluid itself: check gas tightness and dew point before first fill, then sample water content and acid value quarterly. Distillation at atmospheric pressure recovers the 7200 grade for reuse, and the still bottoms go to a licensed contractor.
