New Solvent-Based Fluorinated Silicone Release Agent – Empowering High-Performance PSA Release Treatment for Uniform and Stable Release Force
2026-05-11
Outstanding Performance & High Stability
Huayi HY-7785 Release Agent is an addition-cure fluorinated silicone coating compound formulated with 80% solid content polymer base resin and heptane, to be used in combination with 100% solid content HY-7560 Crosslinker. Delivering excellent performance in the direct transfer coating process, this formulation achieves highly uniform and stable release force when matched with Huayi’s supporting silicone PSAs.
Typical Physical Properties
- Appearance: Solvent-based solution, clear to pale yellow liquid
- Active Content: 80%
- Viscosity @ 25℃: Approximately 35 cSt
Wide Substrate Compatibility & Broad Process Window
The system is compatible with multiple coating substrates, including PET, PP, LDPE, PP coated paper, HDPE and supercalendered paper. Users can optimize coating performance by adjusting the solid content of coating solution (recommended: 20%-50%) and coating weight (recommended dry coating weight: 0.5-0.7 lb/ream) according to actual substrate characteristics.
Coating Solution Preparation Guideline
Dissolve HY-7785 Release Agent in n-heptane or n-hexane, add HY-7560 Crosslinker at a weight ratio of 100:3.2, and stir evenly. The pot life of the prepared coating solution is about 7 hours at room temperature.
High-Efficiency Curing & Compatibility with Multiple PSAs
The curing time of the HY-7785 / HY-7560 system is closely related to temperature, allowing flexible adjustment based on substrate types and production conditions. It is highly recommended to pair this system with Huayi Q2-7735 Peroxide-Cured PSA or Huayi 7657 Platinum-Catalyzed Addition-Cured PSA to acquire optimal release performance and post-transfer adhesion.
Test Performance Data
- Matched with Q2-7735: Release force as low as 8.8 gpi (400 ipm), post-transfer adhesion up to 60 oz/in
- Matched with 7657: Release force as low as 23.7 gpi (400 ipm), post-transfer adhesion up to 50 oz/in
Safe Storage & Handling
It is recommended to store the products in original unopened containers at 20°C to 50°C. The shelf life of both HY-7785 Release Agent and HY-7560 Crosslinker is 18 months from the production date. Please read the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and container labels carefully before use, and comply with relevant safety operation specifications.
